This shirt exists because of two people I love.
One believes he is the center of the universe. One believes there is no center at all. This is my answer to both of them — worn quietly, without argument, every time I walk out the door.
But there's a second layer underneath it.
Most of us have a system. We make the decision first. We try it our way first. We exhaust our own options first. And then — when it hasn't worked — we bring God in to clean it up or take the blame. We ask for forgiveness when we should have asked for wisdom.
I can do all things through Him was never meant to be the caption on our own plan. It was meant to be the foundation before the plan exists.
If He is truly greater than me — and I believe He is — then He goes first. Not after I've made the mess. Not after I've tried it on my own. First.
Too many people start with what they want to believe and then search the Bible for confirmation. But if HE is greater than ME, you have to start where He started — not where you did.
He goes first. That's not a limitation. That's the advantage.
