I Got This!

The Sound of Baseball
Baseball season is around the corner, and I love everything about it.
The crack of the bat.
The slow rhythm of the game.
A summer evening at the ballpark.
If things line up right, I might finally get the chance to visit Yankee Stadium soon. That’s been on my list for a long time.
I grew up an Astros and Rangers fan, but honestly, I just enjoy a good baseball game. Doesn’t matter who’s playing. There’s something timeless about it.
Whenever the season starts, it takes me right back to the Little League days.
Those were great times.
One of my favorite memories is from when I was about 14 years old, playing Little League for the Phillies. My stepdad was one of the coaches.
That picture above is from those days.
I was a solid contact hitter. Put the bat on the ball, get on base, move the runners. The long ball always seemed just out of reach, though. No towering home runs for me.
But I could bring a little heat from the mound.
That fastball had some life to it.
Baseball has a way of sticking with you.
The dirt on your cleats.
The nervous walk to the batter’s box.
The quiet focus before the pitch.
And that moment when everything slows down.
Two outs.
Bottom of the ninth.
Game on the line.
You step into the box thinking one thing:
I got this.
From the Story
⚾ I Got This
Inspired by that moment every ballplayer knows.
Two outs.
Bottom of the ninth.
You're at the plate.
No worries.
You got this.
Baseball gave me a lot of memories.
And every spring, when the season rolls back around, it feels like those Little League days are still somewhere out there… waiting for the next pitch.
